Lord, give me an eternal mindset. A mindset filled with You that overwhelms me. Be my Consuming Fire. May any worldly thinking be decreased to your glory and power. May I store up my treasures in heaven. Turn my thoughts about this world, my appearance, my desire to please others, my tasks at work, what we’re going to have for dinner, how clean our house is – turn all my thoughts heavenward and to others’ needs. May I live my life fearing hell and anticipating heaven. May I be a light that reveals your grace and joy to all around me.
Two Questions August 5, 2008
I’m a big supporter of being authentic and open! And I also want to know more about you and what’s going on! So . . .
What is something with which you struggle?
What is something you have overcome?
(Comment or email me at libby.myrin@okstatealumni.org) Love you all!
Power of Prayer March 11, 2008
All around me I am continuously hearing awesome stories about the power of prayer! May we all fully believe that He will answer! That being said . . .
Dear Lord, Please be with Libby’s friend today and the days to come. Comfort she and her husband as they seek Your perfect plan. Thank you for taking care of them during this crazy challenge You’ve placed them in, and we praise their sincere desire for You through it all. Thank you for their example and the incredible impact Your story for them will have for the rest of their lives. Guide them today and with upcoming decisions. May they grow closer and closer as a couple and to You. Continue to work in all those involved. Break down any barriers among relationships and allow Your love to be the commanding force today. May You just live through them and us! We love you!
Dear Father, February 26, 2008
‘Dear Father, I have experienced a struggle in my life as I’ve tried to serve You. I see that at timesI have focused more on my own behavior than on Jesus. I now understand that I’m not supposed to try to live for You, but instead I am to allow You to live Your life through me. Teach me how to experience obedience motivated by love instead of duty. I can’t live the Christian life in my own power; show me how You can live Your life through me!’

Guard Our Hearts February 13, 2008
Lord, guard our hearts. Protect us from Evil and reveal to us any things that are getting or could get in the way of our relationship with You. Don’t let us ever put our guard down or allow overselves to focus on worldly things that do not glorify You. Help us to identify the ways we can be tempted or challenged to not obey Your will. May we recognize those struggles immediately, give them to You, and through Your strength overcome. We realize the spiritual warfare surrounding us and that the closer we grow to You and serving You in our lives, the greater of a target we will be for the evil one to devour (I Peter 5:8). Thank You, God, for protecting us, guiding us, leading us, and saving us. May we honor You today!
Word of the Day: DISCERNMENT January 27, 2008
Ooooh, how I wish discernment was one of my main gifts. God made me to be a thinker (over-analyzer) and full of emotions. I find these characteristics getting in the way of knowing God’s Will at times. I pray for discernment so that I may fully realize what is God, me, my emotions, or others. I have a strong feeling I know what God wants of me right now. Actually a wonderful peace. And honestly I’m really pumped! I’m still praying for a bit more discernment, though!
Any tips for the discernmentally challenged?
How are you with discernment?
December 5, 2007
LifeChurch.tv is having its annual December Event for all staff members the rest of this week. I was blessed to attend last year and am looking forward to the next few days! I won’t be at my computer much so I’m afraid the blogging might cease for a bit. We would appreciate your prayers as we all come together to worship, be challenged, have fun, be inspired, and grow closer as an organization and to our Boss.
Thank you for reading and comments these past weeks! I am thankful for you all!
