‘If you have any encouragment from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.’ Phillippians 2:1-4
I stumbled upon these verses last night and felt the need to share. These basic words from Paul seem so powerful and straight-forward in how to live each day. What great key thoughts to fill our hearts and all relationships. Of course we can’t expect to perfectly portray His joy, humility, love, etc. – that’s part of our journey that won’t reach beautiful perfection until joining Him. In other words, until we all become lovely pearls.
I love Philippians 2. Such life it brings.
