Like many of you, I am very goal-oriented. I enjoy setting personal goals for myself and following through with them. I naturally think through my plan to fulfill them and how I want to develop into the person I’d like to be. I honestly can be so goal-oriented that if I ‘mess up’, I get frustrated with myself and think ‘Well, I guess I’ll just start trying to be who I want to be tomorrow or next week.’ Then God showed me a powerful outlook that has made a great impact on me . . . One Day At A Time I had always heard that phrase from my mother and others. But it wasn’t until after experiencing all God has shown me and His breaking me this past year and a half that I was able to fully understand His message – God wants us focused on today.
